All About Dr Thor

Wm. Thor Conner earned his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in 2013 from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. He earned his Massage Certification in 2003 from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Westport, CT. In addition to the standard curriculum and clinical training for his ND, he pursued a deeper understanding of hydrotherapy, gut health, botanicals, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and physical medicine.

As an important aspect of treating his patients, Dr Thor uses physical medicine, evaluation, and management to focus on restoring structural integrity and a wide range of therapeutic musculo/skeletal, neurologic, and energetic techniques. His unique approach to bodywork is called Thorapy and is an integral part of his approach to wellness.

Recently returning to the Pacific Northwest, Thor has joined Holistic Healing Arts to help patients on the path to health using the most simple and profound of tools: nutrition and lifestyle intervention along with physical, homeopathic, and botanical medicines. His current focus is using physical medicine to achieve structural health so patients can remove barriers to a healthy, active lifestyle.

His goal is to teach the world

to heal itself.

Let Dr Thor help you get the pain out of your life.

What is a Naturopathic Doctor?
A naturopathic doctor is someone who treats patients with minimal use of pharmaceutical drugs and invasive surgery by resorting to more natural therapies such as botanical medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, physical medicine and mind-body medicine. Naturopathic doctors are primary health care practitioners, like your Primary Care, or family doctor. We go to a four year medical school after obtaining our bachelors degree. Our philosophy is different from that of medical doctors; we believe that the human body and the nature of life are our greatest healing. We know that if we create the conditions for health and remove any obstacles to cure, then we can prevent disease and enable the body to heal itself. We believe that identifying and treating the root cause of disease is important and view symptoms as an attempt of the body to signal a greater underlying problem of imbalance, not simply something to be suppressed with medications. When patients do get sick, we use non-invasive, natural medical therapies such as herbs, nutritional supplements, homeopathy, acupuncture, nutrition, among other tools to gently help the body on the road back to health. We also advocate an individualized approach to health. No two people and no two diseases are the same. We treat people, not a disease they present with, and we take our time with patients - appointments are typically 1 hour in length - so that we can learn the patient's story and understand what's really going on with them.
